lip stains like spilled blood
pepper the walls,
smeared by a woman
with a high-pitched

It took decades to cure
the wine on her breath, but only
seconds for her to drink it
and collapse onto down feather
pillows, swollen with hopes

The Dinner Party
The dinner was going just about as well as you could have expected, given the attendance of those invited and the immediacy of the matter at hand. The curtains hung dark and silent against the cold windows, the ceiling was alight with the bright flames of the chandelier, and the carpet was thick and burgundy. Everything was in place, and everybody seemed to be enjoying their food; lobster and asparagus was a hit, it seemed. There was a certain air of hurriedness that you could feel, however, like scratching a small spot of eczema on the back of your hand. It sort of itched and was a bit nasty to look at; addressing it only made it burn e

Recursion
Ben was awoken by a loud crackling noise. He sat up in bed, disoriented, and tried to figure out what could have caused the strange, but oddly familiar sound. Deciding that it must have been thunder, he stood up and walked toward the window. He peered through the blinds, to look for any other signs of a storm, but it was too dark to see anything.
Turning back toward his bed, Ben began to feel the after-effect of the two glasses of water that he drank before going to bed. He walked out of his bedroom, making sure to close the door behind him to keep his cat, Lucy, from wandering in, and navigated the hallway in the dim light provided by a few

Of All the Places in the Universe
She was a button girl. Thirteen and already too old to be beautiful with grimy cheekbones accented by listless, golden-gray hair. She spent her time trying to sell her collection, dozens of buttons lined neatly in a haggard box. The large one with tiny flowers etched into them, a plain navy one, and the bright pink button were her favorites. They were the ones she hoped would find a home in some little girl's cherished dress or a mother's apron.
With her coat straining around her, eyes crowded with years of cold and unease, she held out her box to a passerby. Buttons flashed in the muted light, but the man scoffed as he continued past her. S

a piercing blast from the
gun at his hip, and
her skin holds the taste
of metallic silk,
pliable beneath his
rough, callused fingers;
their love a ripe apple

Wow! even though this is short, it was really impactful and very well written. I like how you only really piece toghether whats its about near the very end, its a good aspect to have in a short poem like this. And your explination was very vivid and original! it really gives the reader a good visual comprehension of what your writting about.
Over all you did an awsome job! and this is jsut a rough draft right? i think you shoudl write more and then post the finished wrok on DeviantART. I would love to read it XD
(claps in your direction) Good job, Good job...
